My personal guests!<\/em><\/h6>\n

What a special Installation, although I\u2019m sure every Master says that.<\/p>\n

Over half of the Livery and 70 guests attended the Dinner at Stationers\u2019 Hall.
\nWith 150 in the Great Hall there was a definite buzz in the air.
\nThe Immediate Past Master, Alderman & Sheriff Dr Andrew Parmley played \u201c(Wo)Men of Harlech\u201d as we processed into the Hall and the Hon Chaplain, Philip Need, sang a wonderful Grace.<\/p>\n

\nIn the bleak midwinter
\nFrosty wind made moan,
\nEarth stood hard as iron
\nWater like a stone.
\nHere is our new Master
\nGlad and full of cheer,
\nWe ask you, Lord, to guide her
\nThrough the coming year.
\nAngels and Archangels
\nMay have gathered there,
\nBut now it\u2019s the Glass Sellers
\nWhose music fills the air.
\nBless, O Lord, our table,
\nAll we drink and eat,
\nAs we bring our hopes and
\nLay them at your feet.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Renter Warden continued the Festive theme in his speech welcoming the Guests when he pointed out that on the 11th day of December, there sat down to dine:
\n10 Other Company Liverymen
\n9 Livery couples
\n8 Brace of Past Masters
\n7 Court Assistants
\n6 Company Freemen
\n5 Submariners
\n4 OBEs
\n3 Men of the Cloth
\n2 MBEs
\nand A Master with a bright chain.
\nThe Master Air Pilot, Dorothy Pooley and Master Painter Stainer, Colin Goodman were both Company guests. Liveryman Raymond Layard\u2019s Guest was the Master Tyler & Bricklayer, Roger Westbrook and the Master Musician, Kathleen Duncan OBE, was a guest of Past Master Philip Feather. I\u2019ve known Kathleen and Dorothy for over 10 years so it was wonderful to see them in the Hall.<\/p>\n

My own guests included the Immediate Past Master Plaisterer, De Bradshaw
\nand Past Master World Trader Mei Sim Lai, OBE DL.\u00a0 Without doubt, there was plenty of \u201cbling\u201d in the way of badges.<\/p>\n
