On 19 June 2015, I was Jailed & Bailed at The Tower of London in aid of the British Red Cross.
The day started at 10.30am with coffee in the Mansion House but I wasn’t long before the Sheriffs arrived:
“Stand up,” Master Glass Seller said Sheriff Parmley, quickly adding “Oh, you are standing up.”
“It has been brought to my attention,” he continued, “that you are in cahoots with a Burmese cat who is causing chaos and confusion across the Square Mile as he roams the streets impersonating the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor, Alderman Alan Yarrow!”
He even suggested that I was leading the Women in the City astray.
After we’d all been arrested we were taken from Mansion House to The Tower and were served a hearty lunch with Champagne courtesy of Pol Roger.
My bail was set at £1000 and I raised £1500 – you can contribute to the end of July.
