A centre for glass innovation, research and development, Glass Technology Services Ltd (GTS) is an independent glass laboratory and consultancy, unrivalled in the UK for its glass expertise. The specialist team provide a range of services to analyse defects, resolve issues, conduct research and verify international quality standards for glass, coatings and glass products. Collectively holding in excess of 380 years collective glass experience, the team have experience across glass manufacture, processing, material sciences, chemistry, physics and engineering disciplines.
GTS is leading the way on glass innovation – working in partnership with leading manufacturers and universities to develop novel glass compositions, coatings, melting and processing technologies – in many cases taking innovations through to product commercialisation. Grant funding in the past two years has topped £3.6 million and applications have achieved an astounding 100% success rate.
International clients across a wide range of markets – including architectural, automotive, food and drink, pharmaceutical, technical, defence, photonics and biomedical – are enabling us to work on some exciting, world-class developments – demonstrating the incredible strength and versatility of glass and continually pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved.
