Kiln purchase and refurbishment: £3000
We’re half way there
Thanks to the generosity of the glass artists who donated the samples they made for The Master Glass Seller’s Glass Commission in 2015, those who purchased them and a little cash top-up from the (2015) Master Glass Seller, £1500 was raised and a second-hand kiln purchased which, once refurbished, will enable the Bandits of Glass to perform their amazing glass demonstrations in a variety of environments – from town squares to school playgrounds and science festivals.
We need another £1500
However, this kiln needs refurbishing which will cost an additional £1500, so to help The Bandits of Glass raise this money, Gwen Rhys is sponsoring a Fundraising Evening on 5 May at London Glassblowing (62-66 Bermondsey Street, London, SE1 3UD) when the Bandits will perform 2 x 30 minute Glass Making Demonstrations. Each demonstration will be completely different.
What’s happening on the 5th May?
There’ll be fizz, canapés, lots of conversation and fun.
You’ll have the opportunity to mix and mingle with glass artists and other guests and you don’t have to be a glass expert or serious collector to enjoy the evening or purchase some of the amazing glass art on display and for sale at London Glassblowing’s Gallery.
Please bring cash, cheque book (if you still have one!!!) or credit card and be prepared to give generously to the cause.

Demonstrations will be performed by award-winning glass artists – The Bandits themselves: Tim Boswell and Elliot Walker
