Kiln purchase and refurbishment: £3000
The Bandits of Glass is a group of highly skilled glass artists who bring glass making to YOU! They perform their demonstrations which are suitable for all ages in a variety of environments from town squares to science festivals.
They
- educate
- enthuse
- entertain
Their audiences
- enjoy!
We’re half way there
Thanks to the generosity of the glass artists who donated the samples they made for The Master Glass Seller’s Glass Commission in 2015, those who purchased them and a little top-up from the 2015 Master Glass Seller, £1500 was raised and a second-hand kiln purchased which, once refurbished, will enable the Bandits of Glass to perform their amazing glass demonstrations.
But …. We need another £1500
Refurbishing the kiln will cost an additional £1500, so to help The Bandits of Glass raise this money, Gwen Rhys is sponsoring a Fundraising Evening on 5 May at London Glassblowing.
During the evening you’ll:
- be able to see The Bandits of Glass in action as they perform 2 x 30 minute Glass Making Demonstrations
- have a chance to enter the Prize Draw to win pieces of glass art created and donated by Peter Layton and The Bandits of Glass
- be served sparkling wine and nibbles
- mix and mingle with others interested in glass art
- view and purchase a range of glass objects at the London Glassblowing studio
Join us on 5 May
(spaces are limited so book NOW)
If you can’t join us, please DONATE to the refurbishment
